Due to popular demand,  in addition to August 2019 we’re now holding this course in May 2019 as well.

Next Beginners’ Intensives will take place on Salt Spring Island:

May 10th – 12th, 2019

August 9th – 11th, 2019

If you are new to herbalism, or need a refresher, sign up for our bi-annual 3-Day Beginners’ Intensive.

It’s a great way to try out some of our instructors before you commit to one of the longer courses.

You’ll be astonished by how much you’ll have learned!

The fun and relevant herbal topics we will deliver to you include: a plant walk where you can learn how to identify some common local plants, basic and not-so-basic medicine making techniques, and safe and effective uses for herbs you have probably heard about or seen.

Every time we run this course we receive grateful enthusiastic feedback from the participants.

Thanks to everyone who’s already registered; looking forward to meeting you all.

Praise for this course

Thanks again for the weekend. I really appreciated the feminist, decolonizing, and anti-poverty ethics at Wild Seed and your commitment to accessibility. I hope to return one day!

Student, Beginners' Intensive, Sept 2018

As a newcomer to herbal studies I found both Jasmyn and Kevin to be very knowledgeable, attentive, and easily approachable. The course outline was well organized and I loved the hands-on work and the outdoor walk. A whole new world was opened up to me.
